Hey guys, I would like to create an open letter to Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Entertainment. Cartoon Network recently premiered its new show called 'Beware the Batman' just a few weeks ago. We’ll see how long Beware the Batman would last before Cartoon Network would axe it and don’t receive anymore promotion for it. If it is it’ll be the exact same treatment they did with Green Lantern and Young Justice. But don’t get me wrong I enjoyed Batman and the new Teen Titans but having both GL and YJ canned due to lack of promotion on their end is kinda ridiculous but that’s just me. Nowadays Cartoon Network would want to focus more on comedy instead of action shows from DC that would help increase their ratings. In fact, I bet some of the executives aren’t interested in DC Action at all which is probably why they pulled both shows last fall, which unsurprisingly upset a lot of fans like myself and creators involved in both shows and shorts and cancelling both shows instead of making the block into two hours. Lets take a look at your 'Marvelous' Competition. On the other network, they maintain their block of animated programming and adding new ones as well. While I won't name the animated series specifically, one of them continued/rebooted while one other one recently was renewed for a THIRD season. Now they're adding another animated series to its lineup while retaining their original shows on the block. 'Why don't we go ahead and watch oh I don't know MARVEL UNIVERSE to help fill our void' *me being sarcastic* As a result, it makes DC Nation on the back-burner in my opinion. Consequently, we lost some of our respect for pulling both shows out of the lineup beginning with last Fall when you randomly preempted both GL and YJ for no apparent reason. And at the end of the day, you never gave us a REASON for that act and it just didn't make any sense at all. We come across a website called SMGO where we would try and fund both shows with our hard-earned money to help produce brand-new episodes of YJ and GL with or without your help. Since the SMGO idea may not come to fruition as we expected, we'll continue to buy the tie-in merchandise of both shows and watch Batman and the new Teen Titans because we LOVE DC COMICS and its better than no heroes on CN at all. To be fair Cartoon Network is a great network for showcasing some of the best animation of the world but when it comes to showcasing DC animation sometimes I don’t think it would be a good channel for them if they keep up like this.
Once again, I don't want to leave this in a negative light for you guys but we love Cartoon Network over the years and we want what's best for the network. At the rate you're going in, its not showing the network we love and adore for generations. If you want to regain some of our respect, start by telling us why certain DC shows are not the way you expected to be in the first place namely Young Justice and Green Lantern. I also hope you'll take my advice lightly in the future.
I keep getting mixed signals from your letter, your angry with Cartoon Network for cancelling Green Lantern the animated series & Young Justice, but you feel as though at times they did nothing wrong, other then poor promotional skills.
I don't really care for this new Batman show I saw one episode and I didn't like it, and if your actually watching Teen Titans GO!, that makes you in the ages of 4-7.
I do feel bad that no one else wanted to be apart of the SMGO campaign, I donated $160 dollars and it was still not enough, because by the end of this week all it ended up funding was about, $43,000 dollars. And the goal was $10,000,000 dollars, now that sucks, because I thought their was a lot of die hard fans out there who'd do anything to get Green Lantern the animated series & Young Justice back on T.V. Oh well, can't win them all, I guess the only thing left to do now is find some good fanfics.
I agree with what you said about the SMGO situation you mentioned. And let me be honest with you, you see, WB and DC Entertainment started developing Beware the Batman and Teen Titans Go way before it was announced that GLTAS and YJ was cancelled. Also, don't get me wrong but I grew up watching the Teen Titans series a decade ago and it gave me a chance to be exposed to those teen heroes. Now WB and DC created a pseudo revival called Teen Titans Go and once again tbh, I enjoyed it having most of the same cast and crew together once more. At the end of the day, some may like it (like myself) and some may don't but to me personally as a DC fan, its like reliving my childhood with a modern twist. Regarding your age reference, I'm 20 years old and I watch these types of shows (not to mention the action ones) DC has produced among others. Don't believe me, ask the bronies. Some of the stuff I said in my letter is that maybe CN should keep all four shows in the same block and that way we both get what we (the network and its fans) want and try and improve their promotions and that way more ads for products = more $$$$$$ for their revenue.
Hard to do that when they're mostly trying promote another live action show, by the way they're stealing ideas from nickelodeon 20 years ago. Incredible Crew is just a huge ripoff of All That, All That worked well in it's first run because it had people in the early 20's to late teens, who knew what too do. In it's second run, it fell flat because either bad writing or the kids they had won't funny. I'm going to say that while kids can be funny, it depends on there age, and whether they know what they're doing.
If only they promoted these shows right, but now they're all just a memory. :`(

Honestly, I wanted to see Razer become a Blue Lantern. But the Comedy the have now just sucks. I LOVED GL: TAS! YJ, I watched a few and liked it. But seriously, they can cancel some of the other shows that a really poor like The Incredible Crew and Cartoon Planet. I want DC Comics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The producers wanted to focus on the obscure villains since according to them, Joker and the other a list rouges had been used ALOT. and now the producers wanted to use the villains that have yet to debut in other media
I can understand not doing Joker (probably for just the first season, maybe Red Hood will show up, but that's most likely not going to happen), but why can't they use some of the other well known Batman villains in his rouges gallery? Instead I see villains like Professor Pyg, Mr. Toad and Humpty Dumpty, the rest right now I don't have much beef with, but if you want to continue this Batman, use better villains, and Alfred, okay so this isn't the same Alfred as everybody is used to, this Alfred is just to different, he makes it seem like Batman really doesn't know what he's doing, when in fact, Batman knows what Batman's doing. Again, I know they want to mix a few things up, but Alfred didn't need that, he was find the way he was, new Alfred is not a butler but some kind of secret agent, yes I know he's had military training from his days at the British Intelligence Agency, but the new Alfred still acts like he's still reliving those days, maybe because working and training Bruce Wayne makes him feel like that, but just relax for a moment.
